Alex Essoe (pictured above) has been cast in Darren Lynn Bousman’s (Saw II, Abattoir) The Death of Me, a horror-thriller that follows a couple that awaken on holiday with no recollection of what happened the night before. The only evidence is a video that shows them supposedly willingly taking part in a murderous ritual.
Essoe will play the role of the Airbnb owner who helps the couple investigate the truth of their wild night. She has also recently been cast as Wendy Torrance in Mike Flanagan’s upcoming The Shining sequel, Doctor Sleep. You may have previously seen her in 2014’s Starry Eyes and 2016’s Fashionista; she’s certainly an up-and-coming Scream Queen.
Death of Me begins comes from a script written by Ari Margolis, James Morley III and David Tish. The film further stars Luke Hemsworth and Maggie Q.
