A new 6-part series titled Age of the Living Dead has been acquired by Voltage Pictures who plan to launch the horror series at this week’s Hong Kong FilMart and later to MIP-TV in Cannes.
If you’re thinking you’re not keen on another vampire-centred storyline then hold your horses, because the plot for this one does sound like a refreshing take on the mythical monsters. Set during a time where humans provide vampires with a compulsory weekly blood donation, Age of the Living Dead sees the humans plan a nuclear strike on the vampires to end their plight.
Age of the Living Dead has been created by Simon Phillips and directed by Paul Tanter with stars including Nicola Posener, David Meadows, Bill Oberst Jr. and Estella Warren. The series has a release date slated for 2017.
