A&E Studios and Ananey Studios are developing an eight-part supernatural thriller series called The Malevolent Bride, which was created by Nick Stollman.
According to Deadline, the series “follows the hunt for a vengeful spirit terrorizing an unsuspecting Hasidic community in present-day Jerusalem. A pair of unlikely demon-hunters—Hasidic psychologist Malki Price (Lioz Levy) and agnostic young physicist Dov Be’er (Tom Avni)—join forces to uncover the secret behind the malevolent spirit’s origins.” Maya Wertheimer, Hisham Suliman, Dar Zuzovsky, Esti Zakheim, Shai Avivi, Lir Katz, Adi Gilat, and Elisha Banai also star.
Production on The Malevolent Bride is currently underway in Israel. A&E will distribute the series in the US.
