It’s about to happen all over again! The countdown is on as horror auteur Adam Robitel’s returns to the big screen with ESCAPE ROOM: TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS, the sequel to the box office hit psychological thriller that terrified audiences around the world.
Penned by Will Honley, Maria Melnik, Daniel Tuch and Oren Uziel and starring both leads from the first film, Taylor Russell (Bones & All, “Lost in Space”) and Logan Miller (Prey, We Summon the Darkness), as well as newcomers to the franchise, Indya Moore (“Pose”), Holland Roden (Follow Me, “Teen Wolf”), Thomas Cocquerel (Billionaire Boys Club) and Carlito Olivero (Bad Samaritan, “Step Up: High Water”), this second instalment follows six people who unwittingly find themselves trapped in yet another series of escape rooms. As they solve the puzzles, they gradually uncover what they all have in common to survive…and discover they’ve all played the game before.
With Escape Room: Tournament of Champions releasing exclusively in cinemas tomorrow, July 16, SCREAM caught up with Robitel to find out how he went about making sure the sequel could elevate the franchise to gripping new heights with even more shockingly inventive killer conundrums than the original film…
