Adam Green Unveils Secretly-Filmed Hatchet Sequel

Posted on: August 25th, 2017

Fans attending the Hatchet 10th Anniversary Celebration at Hollywood’s ArcLight Cinema on Tuesday night were the first to discover a huuuuge secret that Adam Green has been keeping under his hat. As confirmed by EW, the event played host to the first ever screening of a brand new Hatchet sequel entitled Victor Crowley, which was filmed in secret by Green over the last two years!

Set a decade after the events of the first three films, the surprise sequel sees Kane Hodder return as Crowley, with Perry Shen as Andrew Yong, the sole survivor of the massacre in Hatchet III. “Ten years later, [Yong has] kind of become a little bit of a celebrity,” Green told EW. “At one point he’s compared to ‘the OJ Simpson of Honey Island Swamp’ because most people do not buy his story, but he got off because there was no evidence that he had done it. So, some people love him, a lot of people hate him, and now he’s written a book, which he is promoting on the tenth anniversary of the events of 2007. He is convinced to do one final interview back at the scene of the massacre, where he has never returned. Simultaneously to him going back there with this camera crew that’s going to interview him, there is something else happening that brings back a little certain somebody.”

The cast of Victor Crowley also includes Laura Ortiz (2006’s The Hills Have Eyes) and Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie). Green will be heading out for the “Victor Crowley Road Show” throughout October, introducing the film at special one-night screening events across the US. Before then, Victor Crowley will screen at London’s Horro Channel Frightfest.
