Adam Brody and Amanda Crew have signed on to star in Yam Laranas’ The Wanting; a psychological thriller that follows a couple keen to start a family, but are thwarted by a dark presence that desires to put an end to their happiness.
Yam Laranas may not be a name that you recognise, but the Filipino director has been dabbling in the thriller genre since 2001’s Cat Hairs. He has since directed 8 films, including an English-language remake of his own film Hibla titled The Echo.
Adam Brody has starred in a few horror films, including 2002’s The Ring, Jennifer’s Body and Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers. Amanda Crew has featured in Final Destination 3, The Haunting in Connecticut and is set to star in Trevor White’s comedy-thriller A Crooked Somebody.
The Wanting recently began filming in Canada, so look out for a release date soon.
