A24 has distributed some of the most exciting films of recent times, including Green Room, The Witch, Ex Machina, Free Fire and Swiss Army Man. So, it is easy to see why we’re more than intrigued by a trailer for Untitled; a new sci-fi flick that is either called Untitled or is currently without a name.
The trailer is short and dramatic, filled with phrases like “question life” and “bear witness” that create more questions than answers. If you can imagine what it would be like if Shane Carruth (Upstream Colour) directed an episode of Black Mirror, you might be on the right wavelength. It’s clear that the film is going to be set in a future occupied with adjusting life through scientific means, but that could mean absolutely anything.
Check out the trailer below, because it’s excellent and Untitled – or whatever it’s going to be called – could be the next Ex Machina. Perhaps it’s a sequel? Perhaps it’s not a film at all, because A24 has produced TV projects since 2014 and maybe this is another.
