By now, it’s become abundantly clear that major theatrical releases aren’t going to be possible for some time. Unsurprisingly, A Quiet Place Part II is the latest in a slew of upcoming horror movies to have its release date pushed back to next year.
Directed once again by John Krasinski, the sequel was initially set for release back in May, before being bumped to September. Now, Paramount Pictures plans to release the film on April 23rd, 2021.
Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe reprise their roles for Part II, which also stars Cillian Murphy. The plot will pick up after the events of the original film, with the Abbott family forced to venture into the unknown—where the deadly creatures that hunt by sound may be the least of their worries.
