It’s only 2 months until the release of It, so we have a set of images to share with you from the film to remind you to see it in September. The images show the Losers’ Club in the icky depths of It’s lair, examining the area that It dominates and emerges to catch It’s victims. Creepy.
A group of young kids face their biggest fears when they seek answers to the disappearance of children in their hometown of Derry, Maine. They square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
As well as these new images, a tease of information about the plot has come with it. Brace yourselves, it’s a bit different. For those who’ve read the book, you’ll know that Bill is traumatised by the death of his brother George, who is murdered by Pennywise when his paper boat sails down a drain. He was found with his arm ripped off, which is an early and iconic image conjured in the novel. However, in the film, George will not be found at all. EW further describes the plot details as follows:
“That means his brother is leading his fellow “Losers” not just on a mission of revenge against the shapeshifting evil that lives beneath their town. He’s on a quest to find his little brother – alive or dead – which means venturing into the subterranean lair of the nameless creature they call It.”
I’ve been very positive about Andy Muschietti’s upcoming It adaptation, but this new plot change worries me. Isn’t it going down the same route as Stranger Things? What do you think?
It stars Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Javier Botet, Nicholas Hamilton, Owen Teague and Bill Skarsgard.
Check out the images below and prepare for hell to break loose when It is unleashed on 8th September 2017.
